Hello bookdragons, the other day I stumbled across Book Snack’s post about a “Burn, Rewrite or Reread book tag and as I found it very entertaining to read, I wanted to give it a go and play with the books on my shelf.
Guilty, I wasn’t tagged, but who cares this seems too much fun to let it go.
Get three random books ( I am going to use Goodreads random sorting for this), decide which one you want to Burn, Rewrite or Reread and… repeat! Simple as that 😊
Burn: This Raging Light by Estelle Laure. It wasn’t a terrible book but wasn’t anything special either. As I said in my review a few posts ago, characters were just really plan and the whole story was truly overdramatic to unrealistic levels.
Rewrite: Love, Rosie by Cecelia Ahern. You may know how much I loved this book, the particular way it’s written in letters and emails was very entertaining but there were some parts I would have loved to see differently written. I want more development in the beginning and a less rushed ending.
Reread: Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. This book people, this book! It was one of my best reads of 2015, don’t have anything else to say a part that of course I am gonna reread Fangirl as soon as I can!
Burn: I Love New York by Lindsey Kelk. Bought this book back in the summer of 2013 just because I had seen in the bookstore’s window and I really wanted to read something set in New York. Don’t know why. It wasn’t anything special. Just a witty, girly novel about a woman that changes her life in New York (what a surprise!).
Rewrite: Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard. I am big fan of the tv show so when I first discovered that it was based on a book series I wanted to get my hands on it asap. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t the best book ever. I am sure I can find some stuff that would need to be rewritten.
Reread: To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. Easy enough, this is another book I devoured in a day and absolutely loved. Rereaaaad!
Burn: The Paper Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg. I loved the general idea behind this story but it was so incredibly rushed it almost annoyed me. Unfortunately, gotta go down.
Rewrite: Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. Alright. This book…. Even just looking at the cover still make me cry even though it’s been a while since I have read it. I gave it five stars at the time, I touched me so much but I would definitely like to rewrite the beginning because it was a bit slow and the ENDING. Oh my, that ending tore me apart. Enough said.
Reread: Insurgent by Veronica Roth. I am a big fan of the Divergent book series but Insurgent is the one that left less of a sign on me among the three books. I would like to reread it sometimes because compared to Divergent and Allegiant, I don’t remember too much about it.
Burn: Attachments by Rainbow Rowell. When I picked up this book I was so excited to read another Rainbow Rowell’s nover after loving Fangirl but unfortunately it let me down. Didn’t particularly enjoy the story or the characters. Ugh.
Rewrite: Room by Emma Donoghue. I wouldn’t necessarily rewrite this book, it was a very difficult story so I don’t know if and how I could change something about but I had to choose so…
Reread: The Name Of The Rose by Umberto Eco. I was assigned to read this book on my third (?) year of high school and I hate reading books on a deadline for school so I didn’t really enjoy it at the time. The story though is really good and intriguing and very well written so I would honestly love to read it again soon without the pressure of school.
Aaaah this tag was so much fun. Kind of hard to choose sometimes but still very enjoyable to do and think about what I would do to some of these books. Also if you haven’t read them , I would suggest you all the books that that are under “reread” and also the ones I would rewrite.
If you were given these choices would you have done the same thing I did or would you have picked differently?
I tag every blogger that ends up on this post and wants to have some fun with this Burn, Rewrite, Reread tag.
Talk to you soon,
